Arrival in Paradise

Nach drei wundervollen Tagen in Bangkok haben wir uns temporär verabschiedet und uns auf den Weg nach Chiang Mai im Norden von Thailand gemacht. Unsere Unterkunft dort? Das paradiesische Dhara Dhevi Hotel. Und wenn ich sage paradiesisch, meine ich das ganz. Genau. So. Eine unglaublich Anlage, 60 Hektar groß, mit Reisfeldern, Swimming Pools, vier Restaurants, Spa, 99 Villas und einem Wohnungskomplex, und, und, und .. Wir hatten das Glück eine Villa mit Aussicht auf ein Reisfeld zu bekommen, mit zwei Etagen, zwei Jacuzzis — einer drinnen und einer draussen — und Klavier im Wohnzimmer. Traumhaft. Das Hemd hab ich auf einem Markt in Bangkok gekauft. Der Laden auf dem Markt war ziemlich “Brooklyn” für Bangkok, aber auf jeden Fall cool . Ein leichtes, kurzärmliges Hemd, gemütlich mit Chinos und Sneakers.

After three incredible days in Bangkok, we said “Ciao, for now!” and made our way to Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand. There, we had the single most incredible accommodation imaginable: the Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai. It was an absolute paradise. Like. Literally. Their premise is 60 acres large, with rice fields, swimming pools (plural!), four restaurants, spa, 99 Villas and an apartment complex and tons of other things … and we we’re lucky enough to score one of the villas with a view over a rice field, with two levels, two jacuzzis — one inside and one outside — and even a piano in the living room. A dream. I’ll show you guys the pictures in the next few days 🙂

This shirt I bought at a market in Bangkok. The little shop they had set up was surprisingly “Brooklyn”, in terms of decoration but also the clothing itself. A simple, short-sleeved, light weight shirt, with comfy chinos and a pair of sneaks.
