I’M WEARING: Coat (Burberry) / Shirt (Burberry) / Chinos (Burberry) / Brogues (Burberry)

HE’S WEARING: Trench Coat (Burberry) / Leather Bomber (Burberry) / Rider Pants (Burberry) / Brogues (Burberry)

Back to the basics, to what made Burberry what it is today — to the classic Trench Coat. The “Art of the Trench” has long been mastered by the British label, and they continue to adjust the concept. The trenches are now available in three fits, three lengths, and three colors, and offer thus an option for virtually anyone. Isaac and I are both sporting the modern fit, myself the short length in black, while Isaac went for the iconic mid-length in the “Honey” color.

We interpreted the coats very casually in this case. Fashion forward, but still office appropriate. The looks can easily transition from your day-time job to drinks with friends at night, exuding laid-back British elegance. We both tried to capture major trends, and while Isaac went for the layered outerwear trend, I chose to go for the monochromatic trend, clearly emphasizing the Bordeaux color under the solid black coat. A Burberry trench is an absolutely justified investment — a long-term investment — that is versatile and worth the money. Both Isaac and I will try to show that over the next few weeks, by putting together a variation of looks that incorporate the coats!
