What would life be without amazing, talented and simply good-willed friends such as my boy Maxwell Coombs. Besides being my roommate and one of my best friends, he’s also a menswear designer who has his own streetwear-line called Control Sector together with two friends of ours, Luke and Adam. I put in an order for a few of my favorite pieces, and since I’m leaving for Germany tonight, he already gave them to me as an early Christmas present 🙂

The only piece I’m wearing from the new collection are the slouchy slim fit, black, wool cargo trousers. These guys really do understand how most of us need the lower leg to be tapered, so they absolutely killed it in terms of fit. It’s not a super slim silhouette, so rocking it in a dapper way is not necessarily the way I would go, but dapper isn’t the only way to dress up, after all (and I do repeat this over time) my blog is called One Dapper Street for a reason. A couple of years ago you’d run into me more often wearing a look like the one above than a head to toe suited attire. Thus, I wore the pants with a super-long white dress shirt, also by Control Sector, from the previous season, and topped it off with two pieces of outerwear: a plaid wool Coach jacket, and a leather biker jacket by Buffalo Jeans. To be completely honest, I would have liked the mid-layer piece (the plaid jacket) to have been just a tad longer, to get a nicer plateauing going, but sometimes you have to work with what you got and I thought it still absolutely worked. I threw on my Barney’s Coop boots which neither you or I have seen in quite a while and shot the last few photos on the roof.

Tonight I’m off to Germany for the holidays, then a little road-trip to London, and then it will be my first time attending all European Men’s Fashion Shows, so I am super excited to be in some of my favorite cities! If you don’t already, follow along on Instagram 🙂 And Happy Holidays!
