… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.
Enter: Cool guy number 2. Matthew Foley. New media consultant and constantly bridging the gap between art, architecture and fashion, Matthew works with brands like Vogue and Thom Browne. He’s a good one to know, and a good one to follow (@mjfiii). Equally as photogenic as the first guy we shot for the DETAILS x Coach campaign, it was just as easy to make a few outfits for him:
Matthew is more about the achromatic looks, so I put him in the black and grey pieces of the collection, with the exception of the camo tote bag. Camo– “Military Wild Beast” in Coach-speak– is the key print for the brand this season, so it kinda had to be in there somewhere 😉 I styled the bag together with the gorgeous, slightly over-sized, double-breasted wool overcoat. The second look I put him in was the black roll-neck sweater, with white trim on the waistband and cuffs, but the true highlights are the leather elbow patches, in the same style as the rip-and-repair tote bag. The leather backpack was the ideal match for the sweater, both in terms of style in general, but especially to repeat the leather fabric.
The shearling jacket is an absolute must this season. I was already longing for one last year, but this year there’s no way around them, especially in NYC. When it becomes freezing cold, this is one of the easiest ways to stay warm and fashionable. The all-black shades definitely help to up that “bad-ass” level, and all in all the look is completely New York ready.
