I’ve worn it a few times before, and I’d then told you, that I would tell you more about it on another day. Today is the day, so let’s look at the beautiful Thomas Earnshaw watch. The “Darwin”, which is the model I am wearing, is a historical tribute to Charles Darwin from English Heritage pedigreed watchmakers Earnshaw – beautiful skeleton dial , incredible construction and still effortlessly stylish. Thomas Earnshaw was a pioneer and a legend in the field of Horology in the late 18th century, by making marine chronometers for the Royal Navy. I love the fact that you can see whats going on inside the watch, as well as the contradiction of classic elements with some more modern ideas. The classic leather strap, and the roman numerals stand in contrast with the electric blue arm for the seconds, and the blue-tipped crown.
I’ve styled it more classy before, but here I was feeling like wearing it with a more rugged look, with washed out denim, boots and a leather jacket. What do you think? If you’re not entire sure about the skeleton design, check out their website and see some other time-pieces 😉
