In the middle of the desert, who would expect a mixture of rust-covered welded metal and concrete to serve as a beautiful modern oasis? Certainly not me, but heck, I was proved wrong: the Homestead Modern No. 1 is exactly that and happens to be where Michelle & Tyler, Jess & Tyler, and Lisa & I spent the weekend away, just a couple of hours outside of LA in a little town called Pioneertown. It was super relaxing out there, no service, super quiet and blue skies 24/7, so I actually didn’t manage to shoot more than the one look you’re looking at.

Very simple, but a few absolutely awesome pieces: striped, super-comfy lounging shorts from Zara; a super cool long-sleeved terry fabric Polo from Orlebar Brown; and New Balance sneakers with a fashion upper, but a performance bottom, so you could technically run marathons in these.
