Oh, the beauty of all the different neighborhoods in New York City …
… This Thursday night I spent in Chelsea, and as most New Yorkers know that means gallery hopping. From 6-8 pm most galleries (and there are a lot of them between 23rd and 28th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues) are opened and display artists temporarily. Enjoy a glass or cup of wine while strolling through the charming buildings and soak in the art. Get inspiration for designs, or just enjoy the art as you mingle with other people.
I chose to wear my Bordeaux H&M jeans out. I really like their fit, as it is slim, but still very dapper, and almost fit like slacks. Combined with my plaid Club Monaco shirt with its red lines, and the Club Monaco striped pocket square, they make for an awesome trio. On top of the shirt I’m wearing my Marc by Marc Jacobs sweater; it is a little more modern than an average classic knit sweater, and I liked the touch it gave to the outfit. Topped off is this look by my Marc by Marc Jacobs blazer, which has a simply amazing detail to it and works well with the cognac Aldo wingtips.
So if you’re ever wondering what to do on a Thursday night in New York (without spending a lot of money), let the galleries in Chelsea amaze you – they make for an awesome date!
