Don’t we miss the good ol’ days?
Not that I was actually alive, just saying – it looks cool in the movies. I was inspired by a more classic, a little bit retro look, but also I was inspired by a guy I saw on the street the other day:
I liked his combination and this was my interpretation of it. Shirt, tie, cardigan, slacks, wingtips, and essential for a back-in-the-day kind of look: a hat.
The shirt is by Hugo Boss, super chic look with the blue and white stripes, wide collar which kind of begs for a tie, which is from H&M. I loved this tie and have to say every now and then H&M just nails it: thickly knit tie in navy. The cardigan is from United Colors of Benetton, which I wore closed as opposed to my inspiration, as I decided against a vest. The slacks are borrowed from my best friend – Michael Andrews Bespoke. The cognac wingtips are Mr. B’s by Aldo’s, in which I wore red Uniqlo socks. The leather portfolio is by CVV, and about 20 years old. I love its look and the color works really well with the shoes. To “top” it all of my hat (get the wordplay?!) is from Diesel 55.
The world around you and the world of the past – all of that can serve as an inspiration for you. Seize the opportunity of living it yourself.
