Blue Obsession

Today’s post is a little more personal than usual. On Thursday, I was awarded with two wonderful awards. At the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, I am the president of the AMA Marketing Club on campus.  Last Thursday, FIT held an Inaugural and Recognition Dinner, to award students for leadership in campus organizations. My club was awarded with the honor of the “Best Collaborative Programming” award, as we cooperated with the Design Club on campus to market their Sci-Fashion exhibit on campus. Secondly, I was personally awarded with the Amy Locicero Award. It rewards students for outstanding extracurricular actives – in short: it was an awesome night. Therefore, in anticipation, I had to dress up, obviously:

Slim fitting navy Hugo Boss blazer, over a slightly brighter navy Uniqlo shirt. Keeping it to one color, I added my even lighter navy colored knit H&M tie. I didn’t want to go all navy, as my Marc Jacobs loafers are also navy, so I decided to wear my grey-bluish H&M pants to complete the suit. Pocket square to add some interest to the color and give it a special touch and voila – an outfit that will get you throughout the day without looking overdressed and will still be adequate at night.

You don’t have to wear a complete suit combination in order to dress the part. Feel free to mix and match different pants and blazers and just stay within a color combination that works for you.
