Gilded Accents

Broken down: Blazer – Marc by Marc Jacobs // Pants – H&M // Shirt – Tailored Denim // Tassel Loafers – ASOS (Asos.com) // Watch – Casio for American Apparel (Buffalo Exchange) // Belt – American Apparel // Pocketsquare – Topman

I’ve avoided gold for the longest time. Silver – sure, even old gold I was fine with, but the shiny, bright kind always “scared” me in a sense that I couldn’t pull it off and feel comfortable. If you are in the same situations ms you have some accessories that looked good with the gold, but aren’t sure how to wear it, let me guide you through what I did.

The watch has a cognac colored wristband and the belt is a creamy color, so I went for some more browns with the blazer and these fantastic new Asos fringed tassel loafers. If you didn’t know, like me, that Asos had a private label, go check it out now!! Keeping it classy and simple I added blue tones with the light blue shirt, the indigo chinos and the Diesel bag. For me, the gold is enough of an eye catcher, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple, in order not to overdo it. Pocketsquare was needed, though, might just be me.

Don’t hush away, think about it and make it work until you’re comfortable with it.
