Next Level Basics

Sometimes people underestimate the effect of a simple white T-shirt, if it only fits right and is styled well. I have three of these guys hanging in my closet – believe it or not my mom bought them, ha – and I decided to wear one on one of these insufferable NYC heat days. I wanted to wear these new jeans from buffalo with it. Great color, very basic but still different. As usually I rolled them up two or three times, leaving a little space to the Converse. One of my favorite colors, which they unfortunately don’t produce anymore. I swapped the shoelaces for Hickies, which have a pretty cool concept: once they’re in you never have to tie your shoes again; pretty sweet if you ask me. Around the waist, to add a little more interest to an otherwise very basic look, I have my blue plaid Marc by Marc shirt. This whole tying around the waist thing was never really something I liked, but I’ve seen it a couple of times now and it’s actually quite cool. Slick back pack on and cool shades (love the mini steel bridge) and call it a day.

On this day, my boy Stefano was out and about with me. I loved his look so I posted him in here too: simple black tank with a dope graphic print, black slim jeans, classic black converse and black shades. His wrist-game is serious, quite obviously. He knows what works with his look and rocks the all-black. No biggie in NYC.

Manchmal unterschätzt man den Effekt von einem simplen weissen T-Shirt, wenn man es nur richtig anzieht und es richtig sitzt. Das was ich angab hängt drei mal in meinem Schrank – ob ihr’s glaubt oder nicht, meine Mlm hat mir die gekauft, ha – und ich hatte Lust eins davon anzuziehen, an einem dieser unerträglich heissen NYC Sommertagen. Dazu wollte ich meine neue Hose von Buffalo Jeans anziehen. Coole Farbe, die ziemlich basic ist aber gleichzeitig trotzdem noch anders. Wie sonst auch, Hose hochgerollt und meine Converse angezogen; in einer meiner Lieblingsfarben in denen ich die Schuhe gesehen hab bis jetzt, die sie leider nicht mehr herstellen. Die Schnürsenkel habe ich für Hickies ausgetauscht. Die haben ein ziemlich cooles Konzept: einmal ausgetauscht, muss man keine Schuhe mehr binden. Um die Hüfte hab ich ein blau kariertes Hemd, um es ein bisschen weniger basic zu machen. Ich war nie ein grosser Fan davon, Hemden um die Hüfte zu binden, aber nachdem ich es jetzt ein paar Mal gesehen hab, finde ich’s ziemlich cool. Designer Rucksack und stylische Sonnenbrille angezogen und gut ist es.

An dem Tag war mein Homie Stefano mit mir unterwegs. Ich fand sein Outfit so top, dass ich es auch posten wollte: einfaches schwarzes Tank mit ‘nem krasses Aufdruck, schwarze schmale Jeans, klassische schwarze Converse und schwarze Sonnenbrille. Die Armbänder laufen ohne Worte. Er weiss was er anziehen muss und rockt die Strassen ganz in schwarz. Kein Problem in New York.
