The attire: Blazer – Hugo Boss // Shirt – Hugh & Crye // Jeans – Allsaints // Shoes – Bruno Ferrini Limited // Shades – John Varvatos // Glasses – Street Vendor
Hugh & Crye is a shirt manufacturer that takes a different approach to sizing than I’ve ever seen before. They have a “FitFinder Tool”, that doesn’t go by inches, but by body shape and height. I would be a “Tall & Skinny”. You’d think shirt sizing would be more difficult than this – but the fit on the neck was perfect even though I hadn’t tried the shirt on yet. I went with a nice purple gingham plaid. Here is how I wore it:
Gingham – quite classical, hence navy blazer. Springy and bright, I chose to wear my Allsaints white Cigarette Fit jeans. Dapper, dark brown suede loafers from Bruno Ferrini Limited, combined with John Varvatos Sunglsses or alternatively leopard frame regular glasses, and pocket square peaking out, you have an elegant look that works throughout the day, but is also acceptable at an evening event, as long as it’s spring/summer.
To find out more about what event(s) I went to this Wednesday night – stay posted.
