Bomber Jackets …

… are lately a great way to replace a blazer and make a look very versatile in your everyday life. They’ve been experiencing increased hype the past couple of season, due to emerging menswesr designers that focused heavily on bomber jackets like Tim Coppens. This is how I styled the outfit, integrating the bomber jacket:

I am wearing my suede Marc by Marc Jacobs bomber – a wonderful piece I received during my incredible internship at Marc Jacobs International. The detail of the stitching is impeccable, the suede is top quality and feels fantastic, and the fit is like an awesome little cherry on an already awesome McSundae. The combination underneath is all from H&M: Silk blend, navy cardigan with white contrast details; paisley monochromatically printed silk tie; and the blue, red and white plaid shirt. So a very, very classical combination, but no – not a navy, grey or brown suit jacket, but topped off with a suede bomber. The jeans also happen to be from H&M (talk about cross-shopping …) and add to the casual vibe of the ensemble. Clark’s desert boots, also suede, decorate my feet and together with the Surface to Air Backpack, round off the look smoothly.

With the introduction of “Casual Fridays” we had moved away from tailoring. The now has turned into the opposite direction again, but why not combine the two?
