It’s absolutely lovely to stumble upon new designers, and while you’re at a trade show with a “TOMORROW” section like PROJECT NYC, you might find finding new and stunning designers rather easy. Justin Jamison has a terrific modern and contemporary aesthetic. The collection seems to incorporate classic elements like dress-shirt, but updating them with collar adjustments and contrasting buttons. What makes the sweater and the overcoat interesting are the fabrics and their treatment – ultimately giving it a vibe of luxurious modernism. This look combines some of my favorite elements of the collection, with the waxed fabric of the coat, the standing collar, and the color blocking. I combined it with a pair of black and white Nike’s with the innovative Hickies lacing-system. Just as modern and up-to-date is the Ben Minkoff backpack, with a rarely seen shape and contrasting white zippers.
