Fashion in Times Square. Thousands of viewers gathered around the fenced off runway. Several jumbotrons at Times Square showed close-ups. So obviously, the setting was exciting – and me in the middle of it, right at the end of the runway. All I can say is – chapeaux! – Express Runway delivered fashion. (Continues below …)
The F/W13 show proofed that Express Runway knows about fit. The majority of the looks consisted of suits or suit separates in monochromatic color schemes like we’ve seen in a lot of the other big shows for fall. Fabrics ranged from rich-looking wool, to a luxurious cotton fabric, sometimes in combination with denim or quilted leather. Strong pieces, for me, were the dinner jacket, the color blocked coating and the quilted leather jacket, next to overall strong suiting options. Styling and details were on point, with contrasted button facing, bow ties and immaculate fitting.
