What’s more inspiring to put a nice outfit together than a beautiful oxford?! I’m a shoe guy (once my closet looks nice enough, I think I’ll share what it looks like) and I’m a sucker for these Cognac beauties from Gordon Rush. I feel like it’s sometimes really hard for a guy to determine whether a shoe is just right, or is missing something. The smallest detail can put a shoe off balance, but here, everything is right. A beautiful brogue pattern, a nice long wingtip on the caps of the shoe, a nice slim silhouette and a gorgeous mid-brown color, made in Italy from incredibly comfortable calf leather. Inspired by the shoe, I put together a look with a mid-blue flannel suit, and some brighter colors in the shirt and furnishings, just about dressed up enough to cause some attention in the oh-so-relaxed City of Angels 😉
