It’s been a minute since I really dressed up, and part of the reason for that is that I haven’t had a gorgeous suit that fits me like a second skin in a while. Cue: Indochino, my partner for today’s post. The company is absolutely fantastic, so it’s not surprising they’re the world leader in custom menswear. While starting out online, where you enter your own measurements, I went to one of their physical showrooms to get this suit made, and the experience was absolutely seamless. On my first visit they took my measurements, and I got to select all the details of my suit. The hardest part was honestly selecting the fabric, because they have massive amounts of beautiful options, but this forest green just captivated me. The rest was a tad simpler, I thought a double-breasted would be perfect for the color, light tortoise buttons, peak lapel (as is traditional with a DB), patch pockets to make it a bit more modern, and a 1.5″ cuff on the pants for the same reason.
I had a lot of fun playing with the shirt and accessories as well, going back and forth between teal and purple, which complemented the suit nicely, and then finished of the look with a dark brown coat, and brown Ankari Floruss boots. The best part about the suit it how accessible it is though. I was stunned when I was in the store: $400 for a custom made suit. Insane. So if you’re lucky enough to live in a city where they have a showroom, I’d urge you to go in and explore, else I’d say go check out the deals they have going on on the website right now. Either way, you can save money by using “MARCEL“!
