Just recently I featured multiple pieces in one look, all from Ron Herman, an established West-Coast retailer who is known for top-notch merchandise selection for over 40 years now. Ron Herman is especially known for a relaxed California vibe throughout the merchandise, which definitely shows in the second look I put together today. The selvage chambray shirt is absolutely amazing. I had never thought about the fact that you could apply the concept of a selvage (where the denim fabric ends naturally, opposed to cutting it) to a shirt. The obvious pairing in terms of bottoms were selvage jeans (duh!), and if you could feel this right now, you’d know that this pair is of amazing quality. The raw denim fabric is pretty stiff in the beginning and needs to be broken in, like classic raw denim jeans are supposed to, and once you’ve worn them in a little bit, they’re your jeans, and nobody else’s.
