Ah Toronto – what a beautiful city you are. A tiny New York, far away from the actual one. For New Year’s Eve I won’t actually be here, but I will be at a cottage far up north in Canada, close a small town called Haliburton. (This is also where I am right now.) Wonderfully quiet up here. And whether you’re in Toronto, in a cottage or elsewhere where it’s going to be cold, I have a comfortable alternative inspiration for your New Year’s Eve, to the more dapper one I posted 2 days ago.

I’m wearing a combination of blues and greens, with some greys to neutralize it. The vibe of the look is very relaxed and comfortable, but still not sloppy. Slacks and sweater could technically go an entirely different way, but with a longer Tee underneath, beanie and a somewhat shapeless big parka make it a lot more laid-back. To give your boots even more of a hiking feel, add some winter socks and put the bottom of your pants inside of ’em. Adds some warmth, too. Which is nice. I think. If that’s your kind of thing. Done.
