… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.
While I’ve worn many a grey blazer, this one easily is among the greatest of them: the loosely woven hopsack fabric is what sets this Hardy Amies blazer apart from the rest. “The Hardy,” as the brand calls the fit, is an impeccable program of classic British pieces beyond just sport coats, and every piece truly has the signature Hardy Amies look – and you can get your hands on those on Bloomie‘s website. I styled it with a pair of black cropped pants, and then introduced navy with the black and navy socks. I opted for a rather formal shirt with the tabbed white collar, which I thought worked well with the purple paisley tie that also has light blue elements. The mac coat is supposed to tie the navy story back together and the shoes add a last little touch of color.

I envy the trench and pretty much everything Hardy Aimes has to offer. Purple here was a nice use of color that goes nicely with the soft blue in the shirt. The contrasting collar with cropped black cropped pants is a great move for a formal affect with a button down collar to dress it down a bit.
