… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.

I love when fashion meets sports. And even more so, if fashion teaches me about sports. For all I knew was that I was looking at a dope-ass, high-end white PONY sneaker with cool leather stitching and some shiny gold on the heels. There’s actually a lot more to them, and it has to do with baseball. This sneaker is timed to launch with the MLB Opening Day — you’ll be able to get it as of 04/11 11am EST! That’s because PONY was actually the sponsor of the Mets when they miraculously won in 1986 and thus has a huge connection to the sport. Even the gold branding is supposed to represent the MLB trophy and thus the shoe is called Topstar ’86 Trophy Edition.

But, as I said initially, even aside from the athletic history, these kicks just look phenomenal. I paired them with drop-crotch chinos, a kangaroo-pocketed hoodie and a beanie, reliving a part of my life where this was by far my favorite style — if not the only one. What do you guys think? Look? Sneaks? Good? 😉
