Being back home in Germany is always an adventure — and I fall back in love with it over and over again. We walked around in the rain the entire day, and once we made it to the historically loaded and absolutely gorgeous Schlossplatz, the city center, the sun broke through and we shot on the plaza of the New Castle.
Back in NYC, I’ve recently been introduced to the men’s department at Lord & Taylor (424 Fifth Ave., 9th & 10th floors). After orientating myself among the dope selection for a second, I found the tailored clothing area and just went for it. I put this entire (awesome, if I may say so myself) look together there, and it was so, so easy. I hope you agree 😉
So yesterday those two worlds combined: I was wearing a new glen plaid suit from John Varvatos, and since it’s very conservative, I spruced it up with colorful, purple accents. Starting it off, with a perfectly fitted lavender shirt, also John Varvatos, and popping the colors with the gorgeous paisley Ted Baker tie, and a 4-in-1 pocket Square by Black & Brown. Last but not least, a fashionable update on a classic, with the perforated middle part are the brogued derbies by Johnston & Murphy. Finito.
Slick look Marcel! I love the purple on grey combo!

Give my regards to Stuttgart. If you have time, go to nearby Besigheim – offers great shots of old buildings

Wow beautiful place, and great outfit! It’s always interesting going back home (Japan). Although I’ve lived here in the U.S. for a while now, when I get back in Japan, it feels like home instantly. I hope you and Lisa had a great time there in Germany. 🙂
