When the great folks over at Tommy Hilfiger asked me whether I’d be up for a little challenge, I never thought it would’ve been this easy.. The challenge was about wearing this Hawaiian shirt three different ways, thus creating three different looks. Why was it that easy? Well, I walked into Tommy Hilfiger on 5th Avenue, and strolled around in the beautiful store for a few minutes. You know I’m a big fan of the navy color, and luckily, so is Tommy. The different shades of blue with pops of white just flowed super naturally into these three looks:

1. Legère and casual for the summer, I combined the short-sleeved shirt with a pair of tailored navy shorts, matching shades, and off-white sneakers for that comfortable, yet sporty look.

2. Getting a little bit more dressy — and nautical — with the white-based blue-striped chinos, and a navy cardigan on top of the Hawaiian print, making it a little bit more subdued. The shoe of choice here: suede bucks.

3. To those of you who didn’t believe you could in fact dress up a Hawaiian shirt, I hope to prove you wrong. A casual blazer in a lighter blue, in combination with the darker blue knit tie and suede loafers really give this shirt some “dapperness,” but the look wasn’t complete until I added the navy belt to tie it all together.

One shirt. Three looks. Endless amounts of fun creating this for you 🙂 Let me know your thoughts in a comment below! Which is your favorite way to wear the shirt?

Thanks to the Tommy team for generously providing the clothing for this collaboration.
