… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.

Always on the go lately, I decided to do a little travel story with one of my absolute favorite brands out there: Burberry. While the brand is known for the classic heritage trench coat, I fell deeply in love with it around the time they launched the high-fashion Prorsum runway collection. I thought New York and Toronto would be wonderful cities to mirror the span of fashion-forwardness represented by Burberry today.

Toronto, while fashionable, is not as fashion-forward as NYC I would argue. So the first look we shot here is fairly traditional, induced with a hint of high-fashion: a classic slim pair of trousers, cropped to mid-ankle, combined with a white shirt and a buttoned up cardigan, no tie. The soles of the shoes pick up the black in the trousers, and seamlessly integrated the caramel color of the gorgeous Prorsum scarf, which I carelessly wrappe around the classic stone-colored trench coat. I went a long, modern fitted coat with black buttons, which works stylistically with the rest of the look.

At the airport — basically inbetween the two cities — we’re getting a little more fashion forward, and also a little more edgy. An untucked denim-shirt, combined with a slightly drop-crotch, tapered pant and suede boots are the basis for the look, which is really only complete with the slightly over-sized bonded cotton coat. The beautiful olive color is reflected in watch and bracelet, as well as the previously mentioned boots. A highlight for me this trip was definitely the convertible backpack / trolly as a carry-on πŸ˜‰

Back in NYC, it’s time for some fashion. We left in the winter and arrived to a springy New York, the best New York there is. Here, I wore a grey, monochrome look, paired with a white t-shirt peaking out here and there and a pair of white sneakers. Since there’s still no color, not even in the sterling watch, it allowed for a nice statement-coat: a slim-fit, purple linen coat. Need I say more?
