… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.

My kind of shoe: I live for monkstraps. I love a nice shade of cognac. And also, I’m all about the hybrid of dressy and casual. The “Portland” monkstrap from Bally was basically made for me. They go wonderfully with a suit, like above, but can just as easily be worn more laid back with a nice pair of raw-denim jeans for example. The shoes are made from supple calf leather and given a beautiful hand polish to produce the glossy finish you see in the above shots. Adding on the light rubber sole doesn’t only make them more versatile from an aesthetic viewpoint, but it’s also super functional, especially in NYC weather like this, when some grip is more than necessary. That’s what Bally’s been all about since the very beginning (1851, by the way): functionality, while modernizing their designs in an innovative way 🙂

I wore the shoes with a large window pane suit, and a simple white shirt, which I then topped of with a camel coat to tie in the brown tone of the shoes. With the leather wristband I tried to match the color of the shoes, and got close enough for it to work easily. Can’t wait to show you guys other ways of styling these guys!
