I’M WEARING: Leather Jacket (Diesel) / Shirt (c/o Asos) / Jeans (c/o Asos) / Boots (Barney’s Coop) / Watch (c/o Express)
Is it stupid that I actually really like making faces?! About 6 straight months of my life, in every pic I pulled my lip up, haha! Just a little flashback here – perfect segue to a shoot with flash for a change. Photography is such an amazing hobby, I wish I had more time to play around with it and try different things. Here we shot close to and against a huge metal door to work with the reflection. I thought it worked nicely for the look, pretty straight forward, and kind of rough with harsh shadows and clear lines. Flash – yay or nay after you saw this in comparison to my usual style?!

Definitively yay! We also tried using flash, but sometimes it just looks to harsh & overexposed..

I actually like the flash. Goes well with the casual edge you’re bringing in your style!

The flash allows the leather pieces in the look to really shine (literally lol). The sheen of the jacket and lace-ups helps to give things a certain edge. That edge is then complemented by the concrete below your feet and the rough, imperfect texture that is still visible in the metal door, despite the fact that it is cast in high contrast to the darker blues and black that you’re wearing. The element of contrast also comes through in the distressing of the jeans and the slight patina of the boots. Though it’s a somewhat simpler look, the composition is quite strong.
