It has always been my dream ..
… to present fashion incorporating all arts. Now we have music on the runways. Sometimes there’s even a Fine Art aspect to the design of the location, and interior design certainly has its influences. Designers like Dsquared2 actually have had dance parts, but only as an intro. For this outfit I found it compelling to start living my dream. I hope you enjoy this little video of me freestyling to Hold On by SBTRKT.
Let’s talk fashion for a second though. This T-shirt I got from Urban Outfitters, and it was the inspiration for this look. I like pops of color, as you may have already noticed. So here we have a white T, a black and white U.S. flag, and then in read the words “Love Me”. I continued the scheme – mainly just contrasts and then pops of red. Top to bottom: New Era Brooklyn Nets Hat, black blazer by Diesel, acid look Jeans by H&M and them good ol’ chucks – in red. Now I know people have their opinions on caps; I for one enjoy wearing them every now and then and do think the add a little “street” to a “dapper” look. The cut of the blazer is very casual, and therefore easy to pull off with a Tee underneath. Skinny jeans and I are like an ice-cream cone and a waffle – the perfect fit. I love them and their special wash makes them more than just a pair of pants. Converse are a solid choice, and an easy entrance to wearing a sneaker with a blazer in case you’re unsure. Lastly I decided to keep my headphones in, since the just matched the outfit, and I’m wearing two necklaces from street vendors in Brooklyn.
Lesson learned: you really want to wear some special piece? Take it as an inspiration and base your outfit on it, like I based it on my T-Shirt. And now I hope you enjoy the video …
