Slipper und ähnliche Schuhe gibt es schon eine ganze Weile, aber in der Mode geht es darum mit Dingen zu experimentieren und Neues zu erschaffen. In den letzten zwei oder drei Jahren, inspiriert von Slippers, hat sich der Oxford Schuh ohne Schnürsenkel durchgesetzt und letztens bin ich in den Besitz meines ersten Paares gekommen. Hydrogen-1 hat diese phänomenalen Oxfords entworfen, die ohne die Schnürsenkel gewissermaßen eine Brücke zwischen Eleganz und Lässigkeit kreieren. Die Schuhe bilden diesen Kontrast noch weiter aus, mit dem klassischen, dunkelblauen Wildleder und dem Brogue Detail, im Gegensatz zu der hellen, angenehmen Sneakers Sohle der Schuhe. Ich hab das Ganze dann aufs komplette Outfit projeziert und eine legere Jeans mit diesem Baumwoll-Leinen Blazer über einem weissen, simplen T-Shirt angezogen. Schaut euch Hydrogen-1 mal genauer an, ich find die Marke absolut brilliant, jedes Paar ist unglaublich gut 🙂

Slippers and loafers have long been around, but why stop there? In fashion, we love to experiment with new things, and one of those new things that developed in the last couple of years (to my knowledge) is a “laceless” Oxford shoe. I recently got my first pair from Hydrogen-1 and am absolutely digging them. I think leaving out the laces creates a bridge between casual wear and the formality which is initially inherent to an Oxford shoe. The other elements of the shoe complement this “in-between”, with a classy, navy blue suede material, with classic brogueing, contrasted with the bright and comfortable sole of a sneaker. I took it farther and projected it onto the outfit as a whole, pairing bright jeans with a cotton-linen blend blazer over a simple white T-shirt.
