I’ve been framed

I’M WEARING: Blazer (Uniqlo) / Sweater (Marc by Marc Jacobs) / Chinos (Armani Exchange) / Sneakers (Nike) / Bag (French Connection) / Shades (John Varvatos) / Watch (Triwa) / Hook Bracelet (Giles & Brother)

Passiert echt nicht so oft, dass es mir eigentlich relativ bums ist, ob jedes einzelne Kleidungsstück mit dem anderen abgestimmt ist, oder nicht. Am Morgen sah die Welt noch anders aus: aufgestanden, angezogen, in den Spiegel geguckt und festgesellt dass ich genau zwei Farben anhatte. Fand ich an dem Tag einfach nicht cool. Ich hatte erst den passenden Blazer zu der Hose an und Schuhe die farblich zum Pulli abgestimmt waren. Aber von Zeit zu Zeit ist es einfach wichtig, dass man etwas macht bei dem man sich nicht super wohl fühlt.

Damit meine ich nicht, dass ihr euren Kleiderschrank ausseinander nehmen sollt und in krellen Gelb-, Lila-, Grün- und Rot-Tönen auf die Strasse hüpfen sollt. Was ich meine, seht ihr am besten im Outfit selbst: etwas Grau, etwas Beige, mit braunen Akzenten auf dem Rucksack, dann aber ein schwarzes Armband. Was haltet ihr davon?

I don’t do this very often, the whole casual “I-don’t-care-what-color-it-is-and-whether-it-perfectly-matches”-kind of thing. As a matter of fact, I woke up in the morning, got dressed, and was wearing exactly 2 colors: the blazer I had on, was the one that belongs with the chinos, and instead of the Nikes I was wearing cream-colored Aldos. I looked in the mirror and just went: “No.” I like matching it all up, but from time to time you have to vary a little, leave the comfort zone, which ironically, yet evidently lead me to be physically more comfortable in my sneakers, and a stretchy knit blazer.

I’m not saying go raid your closet and turn heads with a blinding combination of the brightest yellow, purple, green and red you could find. This should go without saying. But here, we have some grey elements, parts are cream, then a brown accent on the backpack, but the bracelet is black – that’s what I mean. What do you guys think?
