It all starts with the denim. I’m wearing an amazing new pair right here, by Simon Miller, which has a very natural look to it with the brown tones in the washed out parts — the basis for my outfit, as you can see with the light brown tones for the jacket as well as the shoes. Simon Miller is an LA-based, high-end denim company, which was recently nominated for a CFDA award (aka a huge honor, should you not be familiar with it). They have a contemporary take on denim, with lots of Japanese influences that emphasize the attention to detail. With production in LA, sourcing out of Italy, and high-tech innovative processes to give the denim a certain aesthetic, they’re a quickly rising star in the casualwear world of the menswear industry.
