I like to think of myself s Barney’s apprentice as a master of the “possimpable”. For all of those unaware of this reference, Barney is a character on the American sitcom How I met your Mother, and the “possimpable” is, according to him, past the impossible, where the possible and impossible meet. Long story short: I like going a little crazy with patterns and trying new things. And I’m falling in love with knitted ties all over again – stripes and gingham, with different shades of red; you definitely have to tune it down with some whites in the shirt and pocket square, as well as a neutral khaki to cover up most of the blazer for the majority of the time. Simple dark blue jeans are the dapper choice, and black accessories, watch and shoes, make for a subtle yet classy accentuation. Always important fabrics: knitted tie, wool blazer, lace pocket square, suede monks – all delicate fabrics and materials that make your outfit look a lot more high-end.
P.S.: If you don’t already – watch How I Met Your Mother, it’s an awesome show 🙂
I love that word! I also like how you matched these patterns. Great post!
