… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.
Vilebrequin invited Lisa and to join their #SAYL campaign, or Summer All Year Long, since we just moved to LA and well, we were more than happy to be a part: we picked out some of our favorite pieces from the store and shot this look along the Pacific Coast a few days ago. It’s weird being on the beach in February, since I’ve never lived in a place where #SAYL was a thing, but it’s wonderful, really. Now my favorite places in LA, beyond Verve and Sugarfish, also include the beach 🙂 When I think back, having grown up in Germany, where you have freezing winters, and then frankly NYC has been even worst the past three years, it’s just great not to have to worry about the weather; to be able wake up, and soak up the sunshine, and start the day off on a positive vibe is amazing.
I rocked an oversized jacket (I wish you could feel it, the fabric is insane) and short, very classic swim trunks. When I think Vilebrequin I think of St. Tropez in the 70s — high end, classy swimwear, so it was wonderful to get a chance to partner with them. It’s not much of a secret, but moving out to LA really allows you to live the summer year-round. But of course, that doesn’t mean LA is now the only sunny place for us.. I’m still crazy in love with the Caribbean islands, which I just recently discovered for myself .. so I’m looking forward to exploring those in my new swim threads 😉
