Seersucker. A summer staple, not too easy to style, but always a classy choice. I want to walk you through a day in my life in sunny California, wearing an outfit from Banana Republic, my partner for today’s post. Main focus of that outfit? The seersucker suit.
When I used to hear “seersucker suit” my mind would jump to an ice-cream sales man, or a day at a Southern racetrack, but the benefits of a seersucker suit had me hooked: easily washable, no need to press it, and the coolest (temperature, not aeshtetic) choice of the summer. So I sat down and looked at seersucker suits, and what I quickly noticed is that the white and bright color combo isn’t for me. The only way I’ll wear a light seersucker suit is the white and blue combo, but I actually much prefer the classier, navy and black combination like I’m wearing here.
Whether I’m out shopping and grabbing a coffee on Rodeo Drive, or driving around LA to get to my meetings, it’s a comfortable and fashionable choice. I chose to wear a dark brown checked shirt underneath, paired with dark-brown leather double-monkstraps, and then finished the look off with more dark brown accessories, such as shades, specs, watch and belt. Rethink seersucker, it might just become your new summer favorite
