Wenn ihr mal nach New York geht, solltet ihr auf jeden Fall Coney Island auschecken. Echt unglaublich, wenn man an NYC denkt, kommt sofort das Bild von der Metropole, mit Wolkenkratzern und Brücken, aber wenn man sich in eine U-Bahn hockt für 40 Minuten kommt man auch an den Strand mit Erlebnis-Park – echt einmalig die Stadt.

Da es doch noch ein bisschen windig war habe ich die Jacke drüber gezogen, etwas das ich in letzter zeit gerne mach, Schichten mit Blazern. Ansonsten versuche ich gerade sehr runterzuschrauben und Mode etwas essentieller zu sehen. Daher gibt’s gerade nicht allzuviel Farbe, aber schaue andersweitig zu kompensieren, mit Textilien, Struktur der Klamotten und Styling generell. Was haltet ihr so davon?

Coney Island. I rarely make it out there, although I am significantly closer to it than anybody in Manhattan. I love this ambiguity of New York, the concrete jungle and the beach-y entertainment park. I can’t wait for the weather to get better and actually go to the beach, but this sunny Sunday was about close enough.

I love layering more than ever lately, with more unexpected combos like this blazer with the bomber-esque quilted jacket. Lately I seem to be striving towards a more subtle style, meaning less bold colors, and more emphasis on textures, fabrics and fits – obviously layering and the styling in general still play a major role. What are your thoughts? Have you been liking the last few posts?
