… aaand FYI: I’m 6’2″, with a skinny, athletic body-type, wearing a true US10 or EU43.

It’s not something I do often, but when I do, I have so much fun doing it: DETAILS invited me to style two shoots with a couple of awesome dudes wearing pieces from Coach’s fall collection. The first guy right here, the talented David Alexander Flinn, is a multi-media artist, who happens to model on his days off.. for like huge people. Covers of Italian Vogue kinda huge. So styling him wasn’t really an issue.

I put him in a few of the louder, more colorful pieces (colorful in fall-terms), like the beautiful camouflage sweater. That Wild Beast print is all over this season’s collection and is wonderfully integrated in several pieces, from a pocket on a grey t-shirt to bags and accessories. As a fan of outerwear, I am especially in love with the leather jean jacket, perfect as a mid-layer, and the shearling baseball jacket is just on point. This whole first RTW collection for men is really taking after the American originals, but making them more relevant again and updating them, the shearling jacket being the ultimate example of that.

Coach bags are always a highlight, and the over-sized backpack is just as amazing as the “rip-and-repair” tote bag, a theme that carries on through the collection. A few smaller accessories really help pull the looks together, like the army green watch and the black leather necklace.
