Guess what – I have a college degree now – YAY. So far, I’ve only mastered the Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Fashion Merchandising Management, but the bachelor is soon to come, and we’ll see about a master’s. It’s always a wonderful feeling to be able to look back on something and say “I did this. I put so much work and effort into it and now I’m here.” It was a special honor to have been invited to the FIT Recognition and Awards dinner, where I was awarded with the Minnie Mallov Stone Memorial Commencement Award. An event that called for – you knew it already – dressing up!
Suit or suit like was a necessity. I went with a combination, kept a little more casual but fashionable, after all it is a fashion college. Beige cropped, three-button blazer, on top of the wonderfully fitted, fabricated and constructed Spadari shirt, in combination with a hand-manse tie from Italy in a poppy purple. For the lower half of my body I went with my skinny navy chinos, and I have realized also – I need more slim fitted dressy pants. I’ll work on it. The shoes I bought as I had already been dressed actually – Marc Jacobs loafers off, and hello new Aldo SADDLES (which is a style of shoe I’ve been missing and craving as it is currently experiencing a lot of hype), that went perfectly with the color combination and just happened to be 40% off. Thank you fashion-god. Pocket square to go with the tie, pants, and the blue in the shirt, and watch and tie bar to round it off.
