Trendsetter’s Ball

The Attire: Jacket – Cheap Monday // Shirt – Asos // Pants – J. Brand // Shoes – Asos // Hat – Diesel 55 // Backpack – Urban Outfitters

This out fit I shot last Saturday, the day of the Trendsetters Ball, a charitable fashion event sponsored by Prince Magazine. It was an amazing night, I also included a couple of the pictures from the show. It was a crazy bunch and an interesting mix of models, from not signed with an agency yet, to “Best Newcomer Model 2012” Adam Bates (in Details magazine). These things are always fun, but also always an organizational challenge, and usually the models end up waiting around for a while backstage. In the end, it’s all worth the rush of those 30 seconds walking with everybody’s eyes on what you’re presenting to them.

In any way, I wanted to show up somewhat fashionable myself, so I threw a little neutral combo together. Starting with these dark brown skinny rider pants, I put together a very casual look. Button-down from Asos, with a very abstracted camouflage look (got a lot of compliments on this guy on Saturday at the after-party) under a beige Cheap Monday parka. Staying with the browns, I wore my Asos fringed oxfords, with a woven leather top in the front, and my stiff Diesel 55 hat I got when I was interning there.

Combining neutrals and staying within one safe area of color is a great way of approaching an outfit – what do you think?
