Morning Grunge

Breakdown: Wingtip Brogues – All Black (Envishoes.com) // Blazer – Diesel // Tank Top – All Saints // Jeans – H&M // Shades – Lisa’s Closet

For this look I had a little project – I am cooperating with envishoes.com to be part of a blogger project: envishoes.com, an online shoe retailer that just recently introduced men’s shoes, provided me with these awesome All Black wing tips and I created a look based on a moodboard that incorporates them. So I wanted to create something grungy, something a little edgy and dark, with a used feel of mental and physical exhaustion. The moodboard itself is on the very top of the page. This is what I came up with:

I wanted to wear this new tank top I recently got at Allsaints, because it was kind of the key inspiration for the mood. Its faded grey and very light print give it a used look, and the casual oversize adds to that. I wanted to make the look a tad more chic, to work with the wingtip brogue element of the shoes, which is why I wore my black Diesel blazer. Inbetween, we’ve got a floral printed H&M shirt with black, blue and greenish colors, connecting the outfit together with the pants. The latter were an inevitable choice in my opinion, also nailing the mood I was going for with the used look-intermingle of denim and black colors. The glasses add a little Rock’n’Roll flavor to it, reminding of the 90’s party scene.

If you feel creative – play around with some pictures you like of the Internet and see if you can reestablish that mood in you look.
