One week ago, we got back from an insane trip with the American swimwear label Onia. We went to the British Virgin Islands and stayed on a Alquila Vela MedCaribbean Charter — yes, that is the gorgeous catamaran in the pictures above! It was a rather short trip, but memorable nonetheless. On the first day, we arrived to Tortola, the biggest of the islands, and took the Catamaran to The Bitter End Yacht Club, where we had a nice dinner before we slept for the first time, in the rather small cabins, in which we still slept amazingly! Something about the light rocking of the waves that knocks you right out. At the club, the entire crew, which consisted of Lisa, Danielle from We Wore What, Justin from Scout Sixteen, Christina from Trop Rouge, Lainy from Haute in Habit, and Nicole from Who What Wear, jumped into the water for the first time, and had crazy fun with snorkel setups and the insanely gorgeous clear water. We took the boat to “The Baths” to take some pics, before we moved on to “Little Dix Bay,” (best name ever) where we spent the night. On the last day we then set sail to Marina Cay, the lest destination before returning to the base in Tortola. It was an awesome experience, albeit my massive sunburn and some other physical injuries I suffered, must’ve been my lucky week, haha. If you’re ever out in the BVIs, check out Alquila Vela for a great time with a great captain, our guy was Alex — he’s planking on the front of the boat as you can see above, and clearly, get some Onia trunks cause the Italian fabric they’re made from is mad comfortable! 😉
