Boots, Boots, Boots … and Sneakers.

Boots, boots, boots… And sneakers. ALDO has a fantastic selection of footwear for this season! I took the liberty to share some of my favorites with you guys: for me desert boots are definitely a must-have for this season, and these dark brown ones you could wear with a casual suit, chinos and a dress shirt, or simply a tee and jeans. That’s the versatility of the “Reinbald” for ya – office, dinner party, or a casual beer with “the bros” at your favorite bar.

If you feel like a more hiking inspired look, the “Gouldman” boot is your way to go. With the hooks on the top part of the lacing system, it reminds of a hiking boot, but still looks fantastic in the dark brown leather. Imagine a loose-fitting, rugged jeans with them, and a heavy knit, cream-colored sweater, a wonderful look for a coffee-date on the weekend.

My personal favorite in boots, simply because I’m a New Yorker, are the black “Fulbert” lace-ups. Simple, chic and modern. And right up my ally. Great with a pair of slim fitting slacks, or very contemporary and grungy drop-crotch pants. I could see myself wearing them on a busy day in the city, where I have a couple of meetings, but know I won’t make it home before drinks at a bar with friends in the evening. The boots make a statement, yet are subtle enough for business-encounters and will make your friends in the evening drool all over them.

Lastly, we have a very fashionable response to comfort this season: the abstracted camouflage “Heiro” sneaker. In a trendy shape, ALDO offers us a relatively bright camo print that I can’t seem to get over. Camouflage was huge last fall, now we still see it, but not as plain anymore, it needs to be different and ALDO nails it. I hope you all warmed up to the idea of dressing sneakers up by now, so I suggest wearing these with a dark-olive chino or even cargo pant, and maybe a khaki blazer, to stay comfy when you have a day ahead of you that involves a lot of walking.

Which pair do you need to have this fall?
