It was an incredible journey in one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever traveled to. Lisa and my road-trip through Norway was absolutely eye-opening. Even though I grew up in Germany, I had never made it up to Scandinavia before, and had but a vague idea of what it had to offer. After experiencing two fantastic cities — Stockholm and Copenhagen — we then ventured to the north, all our bags in one car, and spent every night in a different place.

Now, Norway is not particularly known for it’s sunny days, so it makes a lot of sense that an awesome “rain- and waterwear” brand such as SWIMS would originate there. We decided to make use of that fact, and kept it real with SWIMS gear in Norway While they are probably most known for their galoshes, they now also make a variety of pieces that go beyond just that, such as water-friendly sneakers (mine even glow in the dark … “whoaaaa …” <- that’s the voice of the boy inside me) and this phenomenal touring jacket. Super slim fit, and a beautiful color that becomes quite vibrant in direct sunlight, but also reflects the mood of gloomy days without it.
