My lovely girlfriend Lisa and I fell in love with The Kooples on our first joint trip to Paris together. Clearly, they have a couples-market in mind and we’re loving it, because they make it massively easy for us to walk around all matchy-matchy (pictures of that coming soon ;). Then came the day, some time last week, when we were invited to view the collection in their fancy shop-in-shops in the original Saks Fifth Avenue store. Located right across from the Rockefeller Center and it’s magical Christmas tree, Saks itself stunned with fantastic window-displays, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Inside, we took a look at the gorgeous selection, and tried on a few things, as you can gather from the last photo above, taken by Leandro Justen. In the rest of the photos, you’ll see my three favorite pieces 😉

Firstly, I chose the waterproof parka, an insanely warm, comfortable and stylish jacket that will get me (and anybody) through the winter. It comes with a detachable fur trim on the hood, which I chose to take it off, as I think it makes the jacket a tad more masculine. The second piece is the cream colored cable knit sweater — you’ve seen me rocking a lot of heavy knits lately, and, admittedly, I’m a sucker for them, so trust me when I say that this one’s especially beautigul 🙂 Last but not least, I went with a pair of fancy sweat pants, lending their name to today’s title. Since I was a dancer, I had a very strict “no-sweatpants-as-fashion” rule, but I decided to get over it and accept it as a comfortable and trendy option, year-round. I spruced it up with some color, a new Bordeaux shirt from Express, and Hydrogen-1 shoes, which have achieved a “classic” status in my wardrobe by now. Take a look at what else the brand has to offer, and if you’re in the city you should drop by Saks, but bring a little time: sh*t gets craaaazy up there on the weekend 😉
